A Wonderful Surprise

Woke up this morning to some lovely news posted on Facebook and twitter. The Australian Romance Readers Awards nominations are in and Kiss of Steel has been nominated in five different categories! Feeling beyond chuffed at the moment. Anytime you're nominated beside writing greats such as Anna Campbell or Nalini Singh is considered a win already in my book.

The categories I'm nominated for are Best Australian Romance Author 2012, Best Continuing Series 2012, Best First Meeting Between a Couple, Best Love Scenes and Best Cover and there is some outstanding talent in each field!

I'm also sharing the excitement with one of my best writing buddies, Kylie Griffin, who is nominated in the Best Sci-fi/Fantasy Romance section with her amazing fantasy-romance novel, Vengeance Born.

The awards will be announced on Saturday 2nd March, which coincides with our little group's writing retreat, so needless to say – no matter the results – we shall be celebrating!
